Jose Zepeda

Jose Zepeda is currently a producer for The 21st Show, Illinois' statewide, daily, live news and public affairs radio show and podcast produced by Illinois Public Media and broadcast by six NPR stations across the state. Illinois Public Media (IPM) is the NPR- and PBS-affiliate station in Urbana, Illinois.

Prior to joining Illinois Public Media, Jose was a Morning Show Producer for WQAD-TV in Moline, Illinois.

He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2021, majoring in journalism and minoring in political science.

While at school, he interned with Illinois Public Media as a Digital Intern, managing the newsroom website and its social media pages.

​​

He also has previous experience with Good Morning Illini, a television morning show, serving as a Producer, Director and Multi-Media journalist.

He also spent time as a Features Intern at The News-Gazette and as a Daytime News Editor at The Daily Illini.

​​

His hobbies include running, swimming, biking, and video gaming. I am also a big car and tech enthusiast.
